Dos Agaves: Desert Moon
31″ x 8″ cast sculpture using rare earth minerals.
The desert agave portrays the DNA of the desert. Life is attracted to light. It is worshiped and venerated. This light sculpture shows its beauty during the daylight, and its sensuality at night.
This is the latest piece in the Agave sculpture series. It is a one-of-a-kind piece. It comes with an array of lights, including a laser pen to draw light trails on the surface of the piece, that slowly fade away till the energy is dissipated within the lines.
A palette of blues, purples, yellow/green, and red rare-earth minerals are cast into the 31″ molds. Like some type of alchemy, the elements harbor and emit light and color. Life is attracted to light. It is worshiped and venerated. The 8″ base has four layers simulating natures elements, Fire, Water, Earth, and Air.
